Panda Class is a conservation education program established by the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation. Aiming to raise people’s awareness of giant panda conservation, taking giant pandas and rare and endangered species as the theme, Panda Class has been launched in the Chengdu Panda Base, zoos, and schools with abundant and diversified forms.

　　Sichuan province is the hometown of giant pandas. By sharing the information about giant pandas and other rare and endangered animals, Panda Class for Zoos cooperates with zoos outside of Sichuan, enabling local people to have the opportunity to learn more about giant panda conservation.

　　As a non-profit organization, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation shoulders social responsibility initiatively and answers the call of poverty alleviation. Panda Class for Poverty-Stricken Areas has been launched in many areas by sharing information about giant pandas and other rare and endangered animals with local students providing the opportunity to enjoy an equal educational resource for efficient poverty alleviation.

　　Teenagers are the future of our country. It is the priority to develop teenagers’ awareness of environmental conservation. Panda Class for Schools target teenagers, families and communities to share the information of giant panda conservation and environmental protection. To date, Panda Class for Schools has been to more than 20 schools and communities in China. The giant panda, as an environmental conservation ambassador has encouraged students to care and love nature.
