“Panda Class” is a long-term public science education program established by Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation, to publicize the knowledge for the protection of giant pandas also for other animals and plants living in the giant panda reserves such as the golden monkey and red panda.
The “Panda Class” ---“the Spring Festival Session 2016” was held from Feb. 8th to 13th in 2016 in front of scientific discovery museum in the panda base. In order to have a happy and meaningful New Year, there were four activities every day, 10:00am-10:30am, 11:00am-11:30am, 13:30pm-14:00pm, and 14:30pm-15:00. This session was co-sponsored by Chengdu Giant Panda Public Education Research Institution, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Foundation, and Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The theme of this six-day session was “twins celebrate the New Year and protect the nature together”. We hope to guide the public to protect the nature by ourselves through these activities. There were no empty seats during six-day activities. The audiences took part in every activity positively.
